Princess for a day

Another two 8" x 8" layouts - this time using craftable flowers! These flowers come in packs of varying sizes and various numbers of flowers to each pack. They are easy to adapt to whatever colour you want. I have used 2 flowers on the above layout. Firstly, I coloured the flowers using a dye-based ink pad, then used a water brush to dilute the ink colour. Depending on the depth of colour you want, use more or less water. I then layered one on top of the other and fixed to the page with a flower shaped brad.
Even though the papers are the same on this layout, I coloured the flowers to match the bouquet in the photo on this layout.

Downsizing to 8" x 8" layouts makes you think about the patterned papers that you use. Really big patterns don't work on this size layout. The upside to doing this size layout is that the pages get finished quicker!

  1. Pretty layouts , I love doing double pages , and those shaped papers are a favourite of mine i love working with those.

  2. Such beautiful layouts. I was never very good with scrabooking but i so admire beautiful work like this.Beautiful photographs too.
