I have decided to start The Scrapbook Garden winter sale early this year. Half-price bargains are available - some very limited stocks! Come in and have a look around - you may see something you like!

At least the 'white stuff' has now gone (but coming back on Thursday - uggghhh!!!). I hope you are all coping with your Christmas shopping? I went out for a couple of things today and (after 3 hours) came back with almost nothing!

One to make you smile!

I thought this layout (one of Joanne's) would make you smile! Taken a couple of years ago in the garden (when it was lovely and sunny!!!).

The colours are great and match the photo perfectly (check out that Dennis the Menace T-shirt!).

Calendar layouts!

Looking through some of my previous layouts I remembered that I used this photo (taken December last year) for calendar layouts. Remember that scrapbooking doesn't have to be strictly for an album - you can make scrapbook layouts and use them for calendars as I have done here. This first one I did was from a Mind My Eye's Calendar Kit - everything was included and all I had to do was stick it all together - result! A quick and easy way to make something hand-made.
This second calendar layout was for a present and I used a blank calendar from The Paper Mill Shop. The patterned papers, rub-ons, gems etc., were taken from my stash!

Why not make someone a lovely 'hand-made' present this year. I am sure they will appreciate all the time and effort you have put into it - and most importantly, it will be unique!

Reminder of the Summer!

This is one of two layouts I have done for Thursday's scrapbooking class using 'paper punches' as the technique. The photographs are of a lovely sunny 'Sports Day' last Year! I thought you might want to see something that doesn't have snow in it! This layout is kept simple to show what the corner rounder punch can do and also the ribbon slot punch (which I threaded some of the patterned paper through). On this second layout I used an edger punch, the corner rounder as before and a Martha Stewart Daisy Punch (that I used last week as well). The patterned papers (that are double-sided) are from Crate Paper (Pink Plum Collection). The corner rounder and edger punches are from Dovecraft.

I doubled up the photographs on the layouts because I wanted to show some 'action shots' as well as the 'posed' ones. It is difficult when working on the 8"x8" sized layouts to get multiple photographs - one way is to print them out smaller. The ones I used were just 6x4 that I cut down to size.
