Top Show Sellers!

I have been full of busy making sure that I have taken out all the stock I sold yesterday at the MAX Papercraft Show at Nissan, Sunderland. As I said yesterday, it was a great day - very busy. Looking at what I sold, I have compiled a list of Top Sellers:

1. Prima (includes paper, paper packs and flowers)
2. Tando Creative chipboard
3. Ranger Ink blending tool & foam pads
4. Nitwit Collections Essentials

Just thought I would share this layout (done by Joanne) using one of the top sellers from yesterday's show. The toppers she has used are from Nitwit Collections Essentials and this is what today's question is about. TODAY'S QUESTION: What is the name of the two toppers ranges from Nitwit Collections Essentials that I have just added to the website shop today?

This is the LAST QUESTION - the draw will take place tomorrow - watch this space!

Sunday, 27 February 2011

Oh what a day!

Wow, Wow, Wow is all I can say. Thank you to all who attended the MAX Papercraft Show at Nissan, Sunderland today. There was a great turnout from you crafters -pity there wasn't as many retailers for you all! Their loss, my gain! Apparently, a few of the retailers who usually attend (and live local) travelled down to Farnborough (for a 2 day show there) and they missed a great opportunity as the usual gang who frequent the Sunderland show came out in force.

I hope you weren't too disappointed and I am sure that the next show in May (8th) will be better attended (by the retailers). It is a shame if the show loses some followers because of a few. Anyhow, I found that Tando Creative chipboard was a great hit with many of you and I have based today's question around that.

TODAY'S QUESTION: In the Chipboard section - how many manufacturers are there? Please name them all.

The first correct answer in the comments box will mean your name is entered into the draw for today. Only 1 day left and then the draw - where has the time gone to?

Everything's ready!

Just come back from Nissan, Sunderland after preparing my 'shop' for tomorrow's MAX Papercraft Show. I think the more practice I get putting together product stands, arranging paper stands and erecting tables, the quicker I become. Everything is done (well almost - just finishing touches) and I am raring to go to meet all customers - new and old (not old as in age!).

I have quite a lot of Tando Creative chipboard on sale for tomorrow and I am hoping everyone will see what fantastic things you can make with their products. I especially like the chipboard words - they are great for scrapbook pages and even cards - all you need is a bit of imagination!

I have quite a few scrapbook albums for sale (at great prices) and I am hoping that more scrapbookers come along tomorrow as it is predominantly card makers that tend to frequent these shows. It warms the cockles of my heart to meet like-minded scrappers though! There are always the die-hards who come back time and time again - I'll meet up with you all tomorrow. Anyhow now for today's question:

TODAY'S QUESTION: Which manufacturer makes the 8x8 fabric album - pastel blue? How much is it at The Scrapbook Garden?

Correct answer in the comments box below please (first one only will be entered into the draw). Thanks for stopping by.

A place for everything & everything in its place!

One of the things that crafters need to be (especially with loads of stash) is to be organised. Hence the title! Getting that storage correct is vital to ensure that you find what you are looking for, when you want it (not 6 weeks later).

How many of you will confess to having craft areas that are a total mess? Who says they are organised? I know (personally) a few of you out there are super-duper organised and have purpose built cabinets (a place for everything and everything in its place) - you know who you are! I try to be the latter but sometimes (especially in creative mode) I make a terrible, terrible mess. I hasten to add that periodically, I do make amends and have a clear-out and make everything lovely again - if only it could stay like that!

Anyhow, this leads me on to today's question:

TODAY'S QUESTION: In The Scrapbook Garden shop - what is the name of the manufacturer of the 12x12 Paper Organiser and the 12x12 Paper Envelope? How much are these items each?

As usual, correct answer - name in draw!

Bazzill Tulle

Tulle adds softness and mystery to so many projects. Create a 'puff', wrap it like a ribbon, or gather together to create an interesting element. Don't just think baby and bridal with this inexpensive product.

I have just added another colour of Bazzill Tulle to the shop website and this is the basis of todays question:

TODAY'S QUESTION: What is the latest colour Bazzill Tulle that has been added to the shop website? How much does it cost a yard?

There are two parts to this question - please answer fully for your chance in the draw. The first correct answer will see your name entered in the draw for today. Best of luck!

Prima A4 Paper Pads

Prima Marketing have brought out some of their New 2011 range of patterned papers in A4 size. This is the 'Reflections' A4 paper pad (which I have on order) . There are 2 pieces of each 24 designs - making 48 sheets per pack. I also have on order - Melody and Madeline in the A4 size. This brings me nicely to today's question.

Mother's Day

In the UK and Ireland, Mother's Day falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, three weeks before Easter Sunday. It's origins are believed to have come from the 16th Century Christian ritual of making an annual visit to the church of your Mother, thereby reuniting Mothers with their children on this day. Young men and women would be released from their work for this day allowing them to visit their families. (Source:

This year, Mothering Sunday is on 3rd April. Flowers are thought of as a traditional gift for Mother's Day and todays question is related to that.

TODAY'S QUESTION: In The Scrapbook Garden shop I have for sale a 'Mother's Day Stamp' (by Art Stamp) - what colour are the flowers on the stamp image?

SISTERS forever

I decided to do this layout when I saw the photo printed in sepia. I love the effect this gives 'modern' photographs - but best of all the colour goes with most patterned papers.I used My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Madison Avenue "Sisters" Boutique Paper and the co-ordinating title. The paper is beautifully glittered (hard to see by the photograph I know). The journal card effect is already printed on the paper (I have yet to write on it). I used Bazzill Bling Blank Check as the base to the patterned paper and used Bazzill Bling Sugar Daddy under the piece of Blank Check matting the photograph. I cut 2 flourishes out on my 'Big Shot' and added some Bazzill Bitty Blossoms and ZVA Creative Felt Flowers. I added some ribbon (from my own personal stash). All other products featured can be found on The Scrapbook Garden website shop.

TODAY'S QUESTION: What other My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue patterned paper and co-ordinating title do I stock at The Scrapbook Garden? How much would I pay for these items?

FIRST PERSON with the CORRECT answer today will be added into the draw.

Scrapaholix Club layout by Liz

Here is another layout created by one of our club members. As before this kit used Graphic 45 patterned papers and tags with sketches from Anam Stubbington. In this layout Liz has used a photo of her lovely little family (with new addition). These memories are so, so, special as babies grow so quickly and it is lovely to have a lasting memory of those early years. Liz has used the kit contents and also a couple of added flowers, butterfly and title stickers of her own.

TODAY'S QUESTION: Following on from yesterday - how much does the chipboard word 'Family' from Tando Creative cost at The Scrapbook Garden shop?

Correct answer (as usual) in the comments box below. FIRST PERSON only will be entered into the draw, but please do leave any comments. Thank you and good luck!

A layout from Paulette

Here is a layout from Paulette (one of the Boldon Scrapaholix Club members). Paulette created this layout using one of Anam Stubbington's sketches and using Graphic 45 patterned papers (which were part of the February kit) and a couple of flourishes cut on the Cricut. I love seeing layouts with photo's of different generations together - this is what scrapbooking is all about to me - preserving memories of special days! Paulette's layout has also been added to the Scrapaholix website to be included in this month's competition. Moving on nicely to my little giveaway - this is today's question:

TODAY'S QUESTION: If you type in the word FAMILY in the search box (on the home page) of The Scrapbook Garden shop website - how many items appear? What are they?

FIRST CORRECT answer in the box below means you will be entered into the draw today. Good Luck!

Julia's Layout

It was February's Boldon Scrapaholix Club last night and the kit we used included Graphic 45 patterned papers and Tags. We were also given a selection of sketches to use for our layouts from Anam Stubbington, which Julia has used for this layout. Julia has used a picture rather than a photograph and has captured the mood of this extremely well in the layout. Well done Julia and the best of luck in the competition going on this month at Scrapaholix. To follow on with Julia's theme of a 'wedding' layout this is today's question:

TODAY'S QUESTION: In The Scrapbook Garden shop I have on sale some Wedding Tags (manufacturer is SBARS). How many tags are pictured on the card?

Majestic Obi!

I thought I would post another marvelous photo of my daughter's dog (Obi). I think this photo is fab - doesn't he look a bit like a statue! He is a big dog but is soft as clarts (that means he is a big softie!!). I think if I saw him running towards me (and I didn't know him) I would be scared, but he would probably lick you to death!TODAY'S QUESTION: In The Scrapbook garden shop there are 7 categories under the heading 'Bazzill Cardstock' - please name them in the comments box below.

The first person with the correct answer will be entered into the draw.

Priced to go!

I have a couple of offers on at The Scrapbook Garden at the moment. The first is called 'Priced to go!' and it is a selection of products that have been reduced by 60%. The reason for these reductions is that I have more stock on order and I need to make room for this stock. Secondly, a lot of these products are very LIMITED STOCK and there may only be 1 or 2 of them left.

The second offer is the 15p patterned paper. Again, these are very LIMITED STOCK in most cases or items that have been over ordered and haven't sold as quickly as I would have liked. Now and again there has to be a clear-out - similar to our wardrobes at home (ready for all the lovely new spring fashions!).

TODAY'S QUESTION: In the 'Priced to go!' section, how many manufacturers have products reduced?

As usual answer in the comments box below and FIRST PERSON who answers correctly will be entered into the draw. Best of luck to you all!

February Scrapaholix layout # 2

This is the second layout I have created using February's Scrapaholix kit. As before, the technique is Tags and Sketches. I have used one of Anam Stubbington's sketches. I used the same sketch as the previous layout but just turned it on its side. The patterned papers are as previous layout using Graphic 45 range. In this layout I made a banner for the title and stamped 'Cutie' onto some of the small circles from the tags sheet, which I then attached to the flag shapes before adhering to the page. I made the 'lollipop' style flower by cutting two circles of patterned paper (different sizes). I tore and inked the circles before layering them and adding a small circle for the centre, to give the flower some dimension. I cut some flourishes on my 'Big Shot' and added them under the flower. The tags were attached with some gold coloured brads and I made a 'ribbon' for the tag under the photo from some of the paper.

TODAY'S QUESTION: How many categories are there in The Scrapbook Garden gallery?

First person to answer correctly in the comments box below will be entered into the draw for the BLOG CANDY. Best of luck!

February Scrapaholix Club layout

This is one of two layouts I have created for February's Scrapaholix Club. The technique this month is Tags and Sketches. I used a sketch from Anam Stubbington's Sketches2Scrapbook iPhone app. This was given to Scrapaholix members as part of the club kit. The patterned papers and tags are from Graphic45.I used the title 'Me & My Teddy Bear' (it is not actually me but my Niece) as that is what I thought of when I saw the photograph. I decoupaged the patterned flower paper to give some depth to the layout. The 'ribbon' in the tags is actually slithers of the coloured paper made to look like I had threaded it through the tag. The title is made from Safmat.

TODAY'S QUESTION - I have some 'Luke & Lola Journal Tags' in The Scrapbook Garden shop. They are on special offer at the moment under 'PRICED TO GO'. How much were they and how much are they now?

As usual, only the FIRST PERSON to answer correctly will be added into the draw.

Thanks for stopping by - don't forget you can still leave comments on any layouts etc. that I post. Another layout tomorrow.

Delish Designs Journal Cards

These are the journal cards that I have used in a couple of layouts recently. I have had them in stock for a while but I had not uploaded them onto the website as I was using them for teaching purposes. They are only .60p a sheet but are so versatile as you can cut them up and mat them onto other patterned papers.
TODAY'S QUESTION: I sell Bazzill Bitty Blossoms in The Scrapbook Garden shop. What are the names of the two ranges that I sell?

Answer in the comments box below please. FIRST correct answer (as usual) will be entered into the draw. Another question (and possibly a layout) tomorrow.

Thank you for stopping by - I appreciate your comments on anything that I post.
