Design Team: Precious

It is Julia's turn from the DT today and she has chosen this sketch from 3 for her layout.
Julia was given products from the Prima Alla-Prima range to design with and for this layout she used the 'Low Key' paper for the background.  Julia has used ribbons for the 'strips' behind the photograph.  The letters for the title were cut individually and clear embossed.  As the sketch didn't suggest any room for journalling, Julia made a journal pocket and added it to the top of the layout, just behind the photo.
To get more detail on how Julia put this layout together pop over to her blog at

This is a simple but very effective layout - if you come back tomorrow you will see my take on the sketch.  Another sketch for you to try - I would love to see someone else's take on this.  If you do decide to have a go at this sketch, send me a photo and I will give you an extra entry into the blog candy draw.  Leave a comment today and I will enter your name also (usual rules apply though).  Thanks for stopping by - see you tomorrow.

  1. A lovely layout, I like the idea using the ribbons thats different , and a good idea with the journalling card too

  2. WOW! This is so effective! from what looks like such a simple sketch you have created a beautifull page. The ribbons instead of paper strips is a great idea and also a great way of using up ribbon scraps! x

  3. Great ideas, and thank you for the inspiration.
