Tick, tock

How many of you remembered about the clocks going back on Saturday evening?  It is lovely to have the chance of an extra hour in bed - but the cost is too high!  It will be dark at 5.00 p.m.!  How many like me hate the dark nights?  The only good thing I can see about the winter is that Christmas is in December.  Without that I would be totally miserable.  I will be ticking off the days to when the nights start getting lighter again!

What did you do with the extra hour yesterday?  Leave a comment (today) on this post and I will enter your name into the draw - it's tomorrow!  Usual entry rules apply.  Good luck to all that are entered.

  1. we don't have any extra hour over here in Malaysia. The day is dark by 7pm, earlier than usual, so light is on earlier too.

  2. I really enjoyed the extra hour as I finished work at midnight on saturday and had to start again at 7am sunday ( for a double shift) so it was a welcome change to my weekend to get the extra hour. It may be darker in the evenings but its lighter in the mornings and that suits me too, I was starting to struggle to get up on a morning. So for me its been great the clocks changing , its when it goes the other way its bad for me lol. Hope you had a lovely weekend, work today and tomorrow then Im free till saturday again :-)by the way thats a lovely clock face......

  3. I am like you and hate the early darkness, it was a little easier to get up this morning as it was getting light but it will soon be dark again then too so it won't help for long :o( I didn't feel too well yesterday so used the extra hour to stay in bed, so it was nice to have a lay in but still have the usual amount of day left. As you say at least we have Xmas to look forward too, infact in our house we have my boyfriends birthday, xmas and my birthday all within just over 2 weeks so lots to brighten my winter :o) x

  4. OOO I hate the clock going back, it brings the darkness too quickly, I suffer from SAD, so it's not good for me, however I did get to spend an extra hour in my craft room, hubby was on night shift, so I had all night to play in my room, hee hee hee I'm like a kid once I grt in the room, it was after 3 in the morning when I eventually got to bed, then up at 9 the next day to see to my dad....

  5. Hi Ann I'm another who does not like the dark nights. We were out for a nice evening with friends on Sat so the extra hour in bed was nice especially as I had to get up to go to work on Sunday. I'm not complaining I only work one day a week at a garden centre and the best part is I demo in the craft dept so get to play most of the day :]

  6. I stayed up late and use the extra hour watching a movie, when it finished I changed the clocks. I can't say that the change effects me that much as I work constant night shift.
