Christmas Quiz Q6.

The debate goes on - real or artificial?  Whatever your preference Christmas Trees have been around in our society for a while now.  Who actually introduced the Christmas Tree in England?
If you know the answer to this question (and you are correct), I will give you 2 entries into the blog candy draw for today.  Usual rules apply though.  For everyone else - what is your preference - real or artificial (and why).  Leave a comment and you will qualify for 1 entry into the draw (see rules).  Thanks for stopping by.  Another quiz question tomorrow.

  1. Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's Husband has often been credited with introducing the first Christmas Tree but in fact Queen Charlotte, the German born wife of George III, first put up a Christmas Tree at Queen's Lodge, Windsor for a party she held on Christmas Day, 1800, for the children of the leading families in Windsor.

Trees became more popular after Queen Victoria put them up as she herself was a popular Queen.

(I had to do a little research!)This is a lot of fun though! x

  5. I like both , When I lived in my big old house i always had both but now i have an artificial one but it was an expensive one , ive had it a long time and i do love the perfect shape of it . One of the things i used to love doing with a real tree was throwing the pine needles onto my open fire the smell was fab , i do miss that , and after xmas we used to cut it up into logs for the fire , again it gave off a lovely aroma you cant beat it really .

  6. I love real trees, my Mum used to get a real tree and the smell is just so festive! I have an artificial one though as I like to have a tall tree but don't have the room for a real one as the taller they are the wider they are! so I have a 6 1/2 ft slim artificial tree, if we ever move and have more space I would like to have a real one. x

  7. I love the smell of real trees, but I now have an artificial one. You can burn evergreen scented candles and your house will smell like one!
