My Little Handbag Storage

I previously showcased a 'bare' chipboard picture of the fab little handbag storage from Tando Creative.  I decided to have a go and make one up as a sample for a forthcoming Ross Papercraft Show (11th March).  Here is the result:

This is the front of the handbag decorated using Authentique 'Gathering' patterned papers.  I coloured the handle and inside of the bag using Ranger Colour Wash in Espresso.  I made a rosette from the same paper range, added some Bazzill Tulle Ribbbon, a couple of decorative pins (from my own stash) and some ZVA pearl embellishments.

This is the other side of the bag.  The sentiment was a free download that I received a while back from the Glitz Design girls.  I only added some 'roses' made with offcuts of the patterned papers and some little pearls along the edge to finish.

***PRODUCT WARNING*** these are seriously addictive!!!  No sooner had I finished this one that I wanted to try another.  I did resist! (for the time being).  I can see me making loads of these (to give away as gifts) ... think Mother's Day, Birthdays, Easter, Halloween, Christmas .... the list is endless and so are the decorating possibilities!

Leave a comment on this post and I will enter your name into the blog candy draw  (if you qualify).  Thanks for stopping by.

FAB

I thought I would try my hand using a different style to my scrapbook layouts and decided on 'Steampunk' as inspiration as I haven't done anything along those lines before.  I have used chipboard but not really much of the 'Steampunk' style made by Tando Creative, so I thought I would give it a go and here is the result!
I haven't gone very grungy but I love the overall effect of this finished layout.  I have scrapped this photograph before using more colourful patterned papers but I actually prefer this one now it is finished.

Materials used: Bazzill Avalanche Cardstock; Bazzill Kraft Cardstock; Graphic 45 'An ABC Primer Collection' - The Three R's; MME Lush chipboard alphabet stickers - Black; Tando Creative Clock Mask; Tando Creative Chipboards - Wings & Cogs Set, Decorative Keys, Locks & Latches; Delish Designs 4 x Limited Edition: Rub on Transfers; String.

Have you given yourself a challenge recently and tried something outside of your comfort zone?  If not, why not give it a go!  Leave a comment on today's post and (if you qualify) I will enter your name into the blog candy draw (to be drawn next week).  Best of luck and thank you for stopping by.

The Crafter's Workshop - Name the Template 4

For today's 'Name the Template' I have one that will be in stock in March in both sizes (12" x 12" and 6" x 6").  The beauty of these templates is that they last and last and last - literally for years.  You can use them for a multitude of uses using spray ink, paints etc., and they can be used on other products other than paper.
Today's Template:

If you are the first person to give the correct name of this Template, I will give you 2 entries into today's draw.  Can you think of another project that you may use this for?   If you leave a comment you will receive the usual 1 entry (see rules to qualify).  Thanks for stopping by and taking part.

The Crafter's Workshop - Name the Template 2

Another Template from TCW for you to name.  This one might not be so obvious as yesterday's, which was 'Dandelions' (and April was first to get the correct answer).
Here is today's template:

I think this one might be a bit tricky to name and you will probably have to go hunting on the Internet to get the correct answer!  Good luck anyhow.  The first person who leaves the correct name for this template will get 2 entries into the draw for today.  If you leave a comment you will get 1 entry (if you qualify).  Thanks for stopping by.

The Crafter's Workshop - Name the Template 1

I love The Crafter's Workshop Templates as they make 12" x 12" versions as well as 6" x 6" (so suitable for both scrapbookers and cardmakers!).  They have some great new ones out (and I have them on order - due in stock sometime in March!).  Instead of showing you them and you just leaving a comment - I thought I would get you to play detective and find out what they are called!!This is the first one:

This image is kindly reproduced with permission from Personal Impressions - but what is this template called?  The first person with the correct answer today will get 2 entries into the draw.  For everyone else - leave a comment and you will be entered into the draw (see rules).  Thanks for stopping by and taking part.

Storage Solutions: Handbag Desk Tidy

Tando Creative have a fab Desk Tidy in the shape of a handbag, which was featured in Issue 61 of the Scrapbook Magazine.  In the feature, Carin McDonough created a fantastic desk storage piece using the Tando Desk Tidy bare chipboard, some lovely patterned papers and added some handmade embellishments to finish.

This is the Desk Tidy in it's raw state (it requires assembly and gluing).  In the article Carin completely transforms this piece into a beautiful creation, worthy of space on your desk.  I now stock this item (along with the masks I featured yesterday).

Leave a comment on how you would transform this little beauty and I will enter your name into the blog candy draw.  See rules to qualify though.  Thanks for stopping by.

New Tando Creative Masks

Tando have brought out another 3 fab masks (due in stock soon).  These are always popular with card makers as they are a nice size for using as backgrounds for cards.

This first one is a great butterfly design.  Butterflies are always popular but I have noticed that several manufacturers have this design in their range.

This one is an Ink Splatters design and I think this would look really good as a background on a scrapbook layout (get messy with the paints!).

This final one is a Union Jack Mask (3 flags in one mask) and with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee coming this Summer I think there will be loads of street parties, with Union Jacks, bunting etc. which will eventually make an appearance in layouts.

What would you make with these lovely masks?  Leave a comment (and if you qualify) I will enter your name into the draw.  Thanks for stopping by.

Echo Park Mini Theme - Bundle of Joy

This is the last of the Echo Park Mini Theme Collection Kits that I have on order (due in March) and this is the female version to the 'Pride and Joy' Collection kit featured the other day.
Echo Park Mini Theme Kit - Bundle of Joy

Bundle of Joy - Stickers

Bundle of Joy - Journaling

Bundle of Joy - ABC

Bundle of Joy - Stripe

Another versatile collection that is suitable for baby girl projects as well as little girls!  I love the ABC patterned paper and the reverse of the stripe is a lovely pattern of little trees and hearts (so cute).  The combination of pink and green work so well together.

Let me know what you think of this collection kit by leaving a comment (today only please).  I will enter your name into the blog candy draw if you qualify.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

This is the second layout created using the Scrapaholix kit for February.  As before, the technique this month is using 'Glassine' and the patterned papers are from Kaisercraft.

I used cream cardstock as the base then layered up brown cardstock, Lingerie and Corset patterned papers.  The photographs were matted onto turquoise card and added to the layout.  I made a 'Branch with Leaves' using a Sizzix Bigz Die using brown card and added a layered flower cut from Glassine using another Sizzix Die (Flowers Layers Set).  This was attached to the layout using a decorative brad.  I cut three other flowers using the Glassine product attaching them with brads also.
A close-up of the flower made using Glassine.
The title is made from Dovecraft Glitter Alphabets in Chocolate.

If you leave a comment on this post today (and you qualify), I will enter your name into the draw. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Echo Park Mini Theme - Pride & Joy

This is one of two 'baby' themed kits from the Echo Park Mini Themed Collections, which are due in stock in March.  This one is for projects around baby boys.  This collection contains 2 each of the 12" x 12" double-sided papers shown below and 1 sticker sheet.
Echo Park Mini Theme - Pride and Joy

Pride and Joy - Stickers

Pride and Joy - Journaling

Pride and Joy - ABC

Pride and Joy - Stripe

What I think is lovely about this kit is that it is not overly babyish as it contains a stripe/dotted sheet, stars and plain alternatives to the obvious 'ABC' patterned paper (which is very cute).  Some of these papers could be used for small boys projects just as well.

What do you think?  Leave me a comment on today's post (today) and I will enter your name into the draw for the blog candy (if you qualify).  Thanks for stopping by today.
