Scrapbook Day in March

A few times a year (3 this year), I host a scrapbooking day, which is usually made up of ladies who attend my scrapbook club (on a Wednesday evening once a month).  The next day is going to be in March before Easter (which is early this year).

Thinking of new things to make during these days isn't a problem as there are loads of 'off the page' ideas as well as the popular mini books.  This time I decided we should tackle a mini book with a difference and along with the fab new Teresa Collins 'Far and Away' collection pack, we will be creating with a 'Basically Bare' album (approx. 8" x 8").

The brand new Teresa Collins 'Far and Away' collection pack includes 9 pages of 12" x 12" double-sided textured cardstock weight patterned papers along with a 12" x 12" double-sided die-cut cardstock accessories sheet.

The 'Basically Bare' album consists of heavy weight chipboard covers, double-sided corrugated board page, stiffened white felt page, heavyweight chipboard page, heavyweight unbleached canvas page and a flexible acrylic page.  These mini albums are bound with spiral binding, which can be loosened to be disassembled and reassembled.  Loads of lovely textures to be played with!

I am really looking forward to that one!  Have you tried your hand at one of these 'Basically Bare' books?  Do you like creating with mini albums?  Leave a comment on this blog to let me know and if you are a follower, I will enter your name into the draw.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Those papers look very interesting. What a lovely idea for a mini book with different shape and texture pages. I recently bought some acrylic mini books on sale but am not sure where to start. Hopefully inspiration will strike.

  2. That's why it is really lovely to create together as a group - share the inspiration! Ann x
