Mother's Day - another idea!

Another idea for a handmade gift for Mother's Day is one of the fabulous little Tando Creative chipboard handbags.  They start out life as a blank canvas (similar to the clocks):

And there are loads of possibilities in covering them - here are a few I made earlier:

I covered this one with Glitz Design 'Cashmere Dame' patterned papers.

This one was made using Glitz Design 'Pretty in Pink' patterned papers.

On this little beauty I used Prima 'Alla-Prima' patterned papers.

Each little handbag is different but I used the same chipboard base on each one.  Just think - you can add any gift (another handmade one perhaps) - think candles, chocolates, bath products .... just use your imagination!  This is another very personal gift - just to show you care.

What would you add to this little handbag to give a personal touch for your Mother?  Leave a comment on this post today and if you qualify I will enter your name into the blog candy draw.  Thanks for popping by.

  1. These are lovely. What a great gift box. The mind goes straight to chocolates, but maybe a photo album or mini book with photos would be an idea. Wrapped in cellophane with a bow would make it a world class present. Thanks for the inspiration

  2. You are welcome - I love these little handbags. They always sell well at craft shows too. Ann x

  3. They are cute, but I'm afraid we're not "handbag people" - knapsacks all the way round here!

  4. How about some flowers then wrapped in cellophane with ribbon and bow or pot pourri xx

  5. Great ideas ladies - thanks for sharing. Ann x
