Scrapbook Club: Karen's Layout

It was scrapbook club night last night (Mad Scrappers) and we were creating with this month's kit of Teresa Collins 'Stationery Noted' patterned papers (Poppies, Polaroids), co-ordinating cardstock and Teresa Collins 'Stationery Noted' Decorative Buttons.

There was lots of creativity, talking, drinking tea/coffee and munching on biscuits going on but in between that some club members managed to finish their layouts!

This month the club members were given a sketch challenge and this is one of the sketches that they had to choose from:

The sketch is by Susan Stringfellow at www.sketchSavvy.blogspot.com
Karen has recently been on a trip to Vegas and she used this sketch and one of the fabulous photographs from that trip to create this layout:

A fabulous photograph of Karen with the 'Brat Pack' (the boys) and a lovely interpretation of the sketch using this month's kit.  Thanks for sharing with us Karen.

If you leave a comment on this post for Karen today and you are a follower of this blog I will enter your name into the draw for your chance to win the 'Five Prima Pretties'.  Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. Hi, I thought the sketch looked a bit complex but Karen has made it look lovely. I like the way the upper and lower elements have been kept quite small so as not to distract from the photo. Great LO

  2. Hi ionabunny - it's all in the interpretation! Sometimes a sketch can look complicated on first viewing it. I think Karen has seen passed that and made the layout her own. Thanks for stopping by. Ann x

  3. I agree Karen has done a marvellous job with the sketch. The photo is still very much the main focus & it looks like she had a fabulous time in Vegas.
