A notice on their blog said:
 
"Bazzill is excited to be joining the American Crafts family of brands! The change in ownership is effective immediately.

Bazzill has a long history in the craft industry due in large part to its passionate customers. As bittersweet as it is to move on to other ventures, we’re excited that American Crafts will be able to step in and ensure the brand continues."

American Crafts Purchases Bazzill Basics

We're thrilled to announce that American Crafts purchased Bazzill Basics yesterday afternoon. The change in ownership is effective immediately. 
Retailers and consumers familiar with Bazzill should expect a seamless transition. American Crafts will continue to offer the Bazzill papers alongside it's existing line up of colorful cardstock.

  1. Hi Ann, spotted this over at Imaginisce yesterday. American Crafts took them over last year and a few others. I've noticed no difference. No rebranding or anything. Why upset happy punters. They aren't the only company to sell things under lots of different logo's. I expect the takeover will go unnoticed by most people. We can hope bigger is better??.....

  5. Agree with all of the above, but where is the friendly rivalry? There will be no competition between companies when they all come under one big umbrella which doesn't always benefit the customer?

  6. This is true Gillian but I think we are seeing this more and more now as the smaller and family businesses have to sell up to the bigger companys. It's a shame as it's been a family business for 15 years.
