Where is this?

It was a lovely day here in the North East of England yesterday and me and DH decided to go out 'somewhere' for the day.  We started off looking for a place (that no longer exists in the form we remembered) and ended up here:

Do you recognise this fabulous building?  Clue: it is in the NE of England, has woodland walks, picnic areas, adventure playground for the children, a café, shop to name a few  It is also educational!  I haven't been here for years, so it was lovely to visit again.

2 entries into the draw for the FIRST person only to give me the correct answer.  Thanks for stopping by today.

  9. Hi ionabunny - it's an 18th century working musical automaton, which only comes on for about 34 seconds but it's marvellous considering how old it is.
