August Scrapbook Challenge

Another month, another scrapbook challenge.  I have chosen another sketch from Susan Stringfellow at www.SketchSavvy.blogspot.com as her ideas are fab.  This one goes back to May 2013.  The theme this month is 'School Days'.  I know that school's out for Summer but I want you to dig out your school photographs (or ones of your family) and get scrapping!

To enter the scrapbook challenge - here are the guidelines:

1. Create a 12x12 scrapbook layout using the above sketch.

2. Use a school photograph (yourself or someone in your family).

3. Add some texture on your layout (this could be gems, metal, cork, etc. etc.).

4. Add a title and some journaling.

The scrapbook challenge is open until midnight on 30th August.  Every entry will be given 10 entries into the blog candy draw for August.  Remember: this is meant to be fun and to get you scrapping!  Enjoy.

Just to give you some inspiration (and a little nudge), I have made a sample layout using the brand new Kaisercraft 'Bow & Arrow' paper range.

I have followed the guidelines by using a school photograph (Granddaughters), added texture by using gems, added my title and a (small amount at the moment) of journaling.  I hope this gives you some ideas on what your layout could look like.  Looking forward to seeing your layouts soon.  Ready, steady ... scrap!

Thanks for stopping by today.

  6. Great LO Ann. No way am I scrapping school photo's. Not unless it's the infamous BOB teaching his kids to eat. Now there's an idea. But seriously, big LO's are a challenge in themselves. I'm more an ATC type of Bunster. Really enjoying what everyone else is doing though and never say never.....
